Study in United States: overview for Pakistani students

American universities are flexible: you can start at a community college and transfer, apply for assistantships that cover tuition at the master’s/PhD level, or win merit scholarships at undergraduate level. Programme quality is high across public state universities and private institutions alike.

The F-1 visa is decided at a personal interview, so preparation is as important as the application. Since 2025 consular officers also review applicants’ public social-media presence, and in-person interviews are expected for almost everyone.
