PTE — frequently asked questions
Is PTE easier than IELTS?
It depends on your strengths. PTE is entirely computer-based and AI-scored, which many students find more predictable, while IELTS includes a live speaking interview. A short diagnostic helps you choose.
Do all universities accept PTE?
Most Australian, New Zealand and UK universities do, along with many in Canada, the USA and Europe. A few programmes specify IELTS only, so we verify before you book.
How quickly do I get PTE results?
Scores are usually available within two business days, which helps when deadlines are tight.
What is PTE UKVI?
It is the version of PTE Academic approved as a UK Secure English Language Test for visa routes that require one.
