IELTS Fee in Pakistan 2026: British Council vs IDP vs AEO, Computer-Delivered Tests and Booking Tips
What IELTS costs in Pakistan in 2026, how providers differ, and why computer-delivered IELTS is becoming the standard.
Key takeaways
- Check live dates on your test provider's booking page — dates and seats change daily.
- Computer-delivered IELTS usually offers more frequent sessions and faster results.
- Book early if you have a university or visa deadline, then leave time for results and documents.
- Choose Academic, General Training or UKVI carefully — changing later can cost fees.
IELTS dates in Pakistan are not published as one fixed yearly list — available sessions depend on the test provider, city and format. Here is the practical way to find and book your date.
Step 1: Decide the right test version
Choose between IELTS Academic (study), IELTS General Training (work and migration) and IELTS for UKVI (UK visa routes requiring a SELT). Check with your university first — see our IELTS preparation guide.
Step 2: Check live availability
Go to an official IELTS provider's booking page, choose Pakistan, your city (Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi or others) and the test type. The calendar shows open dates and formats such as computer-delivered IELTS. Availability changes daily, so a date seen yesterday may be gone.
Step 3: Plan backwards from your deadline
| Milestone | Plan |
|---|---|
| Application deadline | Note the exact date |
| Results needed by | Deadline minus a safety buffer |
| Test date | Results time (about 3–5 days for computer-delivered) plus buffer |
| Preparation start | At least 4–8 weeks before the test |
Step 4: Book and prepare
Pay the exam fee as listed by your provider — see IELTS fee in Pakistan 2026. Then sit mock tests under timed conditions; our free mock tests at the original test centre are a great rehearsal.
Tips
- Book your Speaking slot carefully if it is held on a different time from the written sections.
- Keep your passport/ID valid and matching your booking name.
- Do not leave booking for the last month before a deadline.
