Free IELTS Mock Tests in Islamabad: How the AEO Partner Programme Works

A mock test at the real centre is the cheapest way to avoid an expensive retake. Here is how our free mocks work and how to make the most of them.

Key takeaways

  • As an Official IELTS AEO Partner, Abroad In Consultants gives its students access to 1–3 free mock tests at the original IELTS test centre.
  • AEO is the Australian Education Office, IDP’s official IELTS centre in Pakistan.
  • Mocks are practice only and not official IELTS results, but they are the best predictor of how you will perform.
  • Use the mock to find your weakest skill and fix it before booking the real test.

Every year, thousands of students in Pakistan pay the full IELTS fee — roughly PKR 70,000–79,000 — only to score a band lower than they need. The most reliable way to avoid that is to experience the real test conditions first. That is exactly why we built our free mock-test benefit.

What is AEO?

AEO is the Australian Education Office, IDP’s official IELTS test centre in Pakistan, with test rooms in Islamabad and several other cities. IELTS tests held at AEO are identical to those held anywhere else: same format, same marking and same worldwide acceptance.

What our partnership means for you

Abroad In Consultants is an Official IELTS AEO Partner. Students who join our IELTS preparation can access 1–3 free mock tests at the original IELTS test centre. That means:

  • Real exam-room conditions — timing, invigilation, computer setup
  • A realistic estimate of your band score
  • Detailed feedback on your weakest skills
  • A chance to practise the full test before paying the official fee

Read the programme details on our IELTS AEO Partner page.

Why mocks matter more than extra practice at home

  1. Stress management. Your first full test shouldn’t be the real one.
  2. Time management. Real Reading and Writing timing is unforgiving.
  3. Accurate benchmarking. Home practice scores are often optimistic.
  4. Decision support. If your mock is two bands below target, it’s better to learn that now than after paying PKR 75,000.

How to use your free mocks

Step What to do
Mock 1 Take it early to find your baseline — no preparation shortcuts
Review Analyse errors by skill and question type
Coaching Work on your weakest skill for 2–3 weeks
Mock 2 Retake under the same conditions to measure progress
Mock 3 (if available) Final check 1–2 weeks before the real test

What a good mock review includes

  • Score by skill, not just overall
  • Error patterns (spelling, paraphrase, time spent per task)
  • Writing feedback with band descriptors
  • A speaking recording or notes on fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation
  • A realistic recommendation: book now, wait or retarget

Booking your real test

When your mock results show you’re consistently at target, book the official test. Compare dates and fees — see our guide to IELTS fees in Pakistan. Make sure you choose the right version (Academic, General Training or UKVI).

Frequently asked questions

How many free mocks can I get?

Our partnership provides 1–3 free mock tests per eligible student at the original IELTS test centre. Your counsellor confirms the exact number and slots when you enrol.

Do I have to take my official IELTS test at AEO?

No. IELTS results are valid wherever you test, whether at the British Council or IDP/AEO. We help you compare dates, cities and prices.

Can the mock result be used for visa or admission?

No. A mock is a practice test and cannot be submitted to universities or immigration authorities.
